A QR code at reception. No app, no login, no clipboard. Your guest checks in on their own phone, and the person they came to see approves in one tap.
How it works
Four steps. About 30 seconds for the visitor, one tap for the host.
Watch
From the code on the tablet to an open door.
Why it is different
Most visitor systems print a label that peels off in ten minutes and ends in the bin. Here the badge is the visitor's phone.
Sticker peels off, gets lost, is thrown away
Just a name on paper. It cannot do anything
Stays around after the visit and cannot be changed
The badge lives on the phone and is always there
Buttons for door, machine and pass code
Shows who approved it and ends with the visit
Features
Set up per company, so each tenant in the building gets its own rules.
Visitors use their own phone. No tablet app, no accounts, no sign-up.
The photo is checked on the phone. No face or closed eyes is turned down.
Email with approve and reject links, and push in the Solver Employee app. SMS only if you want it.
The visitor's phone shows a live badge with photo, name and who approved. It updates by itself.
Type a phone number and name and company are filled in.
A shared reception serves several tenants. Each picks its own staff list and detail level.
A host gives a guest a button for a door, a lock, a light or a machine for the visit. Works with Salto, Danalock, Masterlock, Solver hardware and everything on Inlet.
Looked up live with the search your admin sets up. No second staff list.
The host checks the guest out with one click, so you know who is still in the building.
One tap sends a message and a push to every employee at a location, and to guests too. Each company sets its own rules.
The company being visited decides how long visits are kept. Old rows are deleted by themselves.
Every lookup in your Entra ID is logged, with what the guest saw.
Hosts are told by email and by push in the app. SMS is optional and off by default, so there is no cost for every visitor.
The host gets a push on the mobile phone when a visitor arrives, and manages all visitors in the app's Visit module.
One read-only permission, approved once by your administrator. Staff are looked up live in your own Entra ID, so there is no second list to keep.
Sign up with your work account and follow the guide: your kiosk is ready in about five minutes.

Security and privacy
The design starts from one question: how do we stop someone from outside using this?
The QR code renews every 5 minutes and cannot be reused.
A scan gives the phone a short visit session. There is no login and no stored identity.
The staff search cannot be reached without a live scan at the door.
Each company decides how much of a person is visible to a visitor.
Who controls what
Two roles, kept apart: whoever owns the Entra ID, and whoever owns the kiosk.
Easy to run
The kiosk owner adds a screen with a setup code. The owner of each Entra ID decides how their company works.
The visitor can choose their language:
More than visits
The employee app the host already uses is a full directory. It finds colleagues from the same Entra ID the kiosk looks up.
Pricing
One price per kiosk, by how many companies the QR code shows. No price per employee. No setup fee and no contract.
For one company with its own Entra ID.
For shared receptions with several companies and Entra IDs.
For big buildings and special needs.
Prices in NOK per kiosk per month, excluding VAT. The owner of an Entra ID connects for free.
Extra SMS are charged at cost. The 30 day trial needs no card and has no strings attached.

FAQ
There is no printed label. The visitor gets a live badge on their own phone, which has buttons for things like opening a door or starting a vending machine. A button that shows a rotating pass code for a controller is coming soon.
No. They scan the QR code with their own mobile phone and everything runs in the browser.
They can register the visit on the tablet at reception instead. The host is told in the same way.
Yes, on the phone. No face or closed eyes is turned down, and the photo is not sent until it passes.
They type their phone number and name and company are filled in.
No. The code at the screen renews every 5 minutes and a visit session is short, so you must have just scanned a live code on site.
English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish for the visitor.
Name, company, photo, who they visit, and how long it is valid. It updates by itself on the phone.
Anything in Solver that can be run as a command: a door, a light, a vending machine. The host decides per visit which buttons the guest gets, and they stop working when the visit ends.
Anything Solver can control directly, and everything that connects through Inlet. That includes Solver's own hardware, Salto, Danalock, Masterlock and the rest of the Inlet integrations.
Yes. The badge has a button that shows a QR code. It renews all the time and a controller scans it, like a tram ticket, so a photo of it cannot be used later. This is planned and not live yet.
By push in the employee app, by SMS, by email, or a mix. It is set per directory. The message has approve and reject.
The visit expires after a set number of minutes without an answer.
Yes. The host clicks check out, so the visit is closed when the guest leaves.
Yes. One tap sends a message and a push to every employee at a location, and to guests as well. The location comes from the office location field in Entra ID, and each company sets its own rules.
Yes. The company being visited sets how long visits are kept, and old rows are deleted by themselves.
The owner of the Entra ID decides, not the people who set up the kiosk. The Entra ID owner writes the search, chooses which company names show, adds the logo and sets the detail level. The staff search cannot be used without a live scan at the door.
Yes. Every lookup is logged with which kiosk made it, what was searched, and exactly what the guest was shown. The owner of the Entra ID can read the log.
Yes. One screen offers several companies, and each has its own staff list, detail level and rules.
Each company name can be given a name guests recognise, or be hidden, so people do not need to know which legal entity they are visiting.
No. By default the host is told by email, with links to approve or reject, and by push in the Solver Employee app. SMS can be switched on per directory, but it costs money for each message.
The employee app the host already uses. It runs as a web app and as an app for iOS and Android. It holds the staff directory with search and filters, an org chart, department chart, new hires and statistics, and the host's list of visits.
No. The host can approve or reject from the push, the SMS or the email, without logging in. Solver Employee is where the host sees all visits and gives a guest access to a door.
Yes. It finds colleagues from the same Entra ID the kiosk looks up, and it can sync favourites or the whole directory to the phone's contacts, with photos when they are available.
Outlook and Gmail sync each person's own contact list, not the company's shared address list. Our app syncs the company directory, with photos when they are available, so every colleague is recognised when they call.
The host installs the Solver Employee app on the mobile phone and signs in with the work account. A push arrives when a visitor asks for them, and the host manages all visitors in the app's Visit module.
One tablet or screen is enough. It shows the QR code, and guests check in on their own phone, so there is no queue at the tablet. If a guest forgot their phone, they can check in on the tablet instead. Open the page, enter a setup code once, and it stays activated.
Any tablet that runs a browser and keeps its screen on: an iPad, an Android tablet or similar. A simple 11-inch Android tablet costs from around NOK 2,000.
From each company's own Entra ID. We look people up when a guest searches, with the search the Entra ID owner has set up, so there is no second list to keep up to date.
Yes. One kiosk can show companies from several Entra IDs on a single QR code, for example a building where many companies share the reception.
The kiosk only asks for one application permission, User.Read.All, and reads nothing else. If a company still says no, its employees can be put into the system once and kept up to date there. That works, but it takes more work, and Entra ID is made for exactly this.
Google support is coming soon. Today the staff list comes from Microsoft Entra ID, from Solver, or from a list you keep yourself.
Yes. Per company you choose whether the visitor gives their details before or after picking the host.
The owner of the kiosk pays, by how many companies the QR code shows. The owner of an Entra ID connects for free and keeps full control.
A screen and a setup code is the minimum. We set up the staff list and company rules with you.
Yes. See the partner page.
An administrator of your Microsoft 365 approves one read-only permission, User.Read.All, once. Visit then looks up your employees live when a visitor searches. Nothing is copied into a second staff list.
Tell us about your reception and we will set up a demo with your company name on it.
